We only deliver to countries that are considered safe for international shipping. EMS offers fast, secure, and fully trackable delivery. A tracking number is sent to your email once the parcel is dispatched. Delivery time applies from the moment of dispatch and does not include production time for personalised items.

Once dispatched, EMS typically delivers within one to three business days within Thailand. For Asia-Pacific destinations, delivery generally takes three to five business days. Parcels sent to Europe and the UK usually arrive in four to nine business days. Orders shipped to North America take five to seven business days. For Oceania, delivery averages four to six days, and South America may take nine to eleven business days. Your national postal provider manages the final leg of delivery after EMS completes the international transfer.

Each bag is handcrafted by women artisans working in Phayao, Chiang Mai, Phatthalung, and Nakhon Si Thammarat. For standard, in-stock designs, dispatch usually occurs within three business days of order confirmation.

Product Inspection and Packaging Standards

Each Lalita Tote is inspected thoroughly before shipment. Our team checks the weave structure, handle strength, stitching, and eco-friendly finishing touches. Bags are photographed and video recorded before being packed. Every item is placed in a white cotton drawstring pouch and boxed in protective packaging designed to maintain structure and detail throughout international delivery.

Fair EMS Shipping Rates and Transparency

EMS Thailand uses a flat-rate pricing system for parcels up to one kilogram. In many cases, two bags can be shipped for the same cost. We do not include shipping charges in the product price. All shipping fees are itemised separately at checkout to give you a full, transparent breakdown of your total cost.

Import Duties, Local Taxes, and Delivery Responsibility

Most orders arrive without additional customs charges. However, depending on your country’s import laws, duties or taxes may apply. These are the responsibility of the customer. Once EMS completes the international delivery, your national postal service handles the final handover. Returns for Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your Lalita Eco-Friendly Straw Tote arrives with a manufacturing fault or is damaged during shipping, please notify us within forty-eight hours of delivery. We offer a fourteen-day return policy for faulty or incorrect items. Refunds apply to the bag price only. Shipping costs are refunded only if the item is verified to be faulty. All returns must be sent using tracked airfreight to our hub in Nakhon Sawan for inspection.

Return Conditions and Refund Process

Returned bags must be unused, in original packaging, and safely repacked. Customised bags cannot be returned unless a clear fault is confirmed. Once received and approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method. Returns without tracking or those received in poor condition may not be eligible for a full refund.

Phayao as the Heart of Hyacinth Straw Production

The Lalita Eco-Friendly Straw Tote is handcrafted by women working within The Straw Bag Company’s nationwide artisan network. Our core production site is in Phayao, northern Thailand, where water hyacinth straw is harvested, sun-dried, and woven by hand using traditional methods. More than 30 full-time female artisans are based in this region. They meet daily in small team groups to complete orders and maintain high-quality weaving standards. Phayao remains the foundation of our water hyacinth-based products and plays a vital role in sustaining eco-conscious local craft.

A National Network of Regional Craft Teams

In addition to Phayao, we operate in Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Phatthalung, where our teams specialise in weaving bags from native krajood seagrass. These woven bases are then sent to Chiang Mai for final stitching and finishing work completed by rural artisans in village communities. The Straw Bag Company now employs more than 80 individuals across Thailand, including harvesters, weavers, stitchers, quality control staff, and production leads. Every Lalita Eco-Friendly Straw Tote is made entirely in Thailand, using locally sourced, traceable plant-based materials.

Fifteen Percent of Profits Reinvested Into Rural Communities

We reinvest 15 percent of all profits into the same communities that make our bags. These funds are used to provide direct and practical support. When artisans cannot afford material costs upfront, we provide financial assistance to keep production moving. Families receive support for school-related expenses, such as uniforms, supplies, and transport. In times of personal or financial difficulty, our team leaders coordinate temporary relief. We also operate structured school leaver programmes, helping young women gain paid, hands-on training in weaving and stitching that can be used to build long-term careers from home.
